Two people, two guns, one office.

Anagard Studios was founded in 2026 in Belgrade by two people who kept building the same kind of game in their spare time until it stopped being spare time.

Who we are

We make the games we still play.

Between us there is a decade of contract work on other people's projects and a shared frustration: the arcade shooter got buried under progression systems, and the sniper game turned into a highlight reel.

So we build both properly. Hellfire Squad is loud, fast and unfair in the way a good arcade cabinet is unfair. Cold Angle is quiet, slow and unfair in a completely different way. They share an engine, a toolchain, and the belief that a game should be finished before it is sold.

We are small enough that every decision fits in one conversation, and honest enough to publish the ones that turned out wrong.

The team

Everyone here ships.

No producers, no middle layer. Two people, one build, and nobody to pass the blame to.

What we believe

Five rules we actually follow.

01

Feel before content

If the rifle does not feel right, no amount of levels will save the game. Mechanics get polished before anything gets bigger.

02

Show the ugly version

Greybox footage, failed prototypes and cut features go in the devlog. Marketing that only shows the good weeks is a lie with a trailer.

03

Respect the player's time

No daily logins, no grind designed to sell a shortcut. A mission ends when it is finished, not when the metrics say so.

04

Ship small, ship real

A finished 25-minute prototype beats an unfinished 25-hour campaign. Cold Angle exists because we believed that.

05

Publish the numbers

Every euro donated is reported in the devlog with what it paid for. Trust is the only currency a new studio has.

History

How we got here

  • 2024 — Nights and weekends

Two contractors on unrelated projects start prototyping a run-and-gun after hours, mostly to prove a point about weapon feel.

  • 2025 — Cold Angle, in fourteen days

A game jam entry about one sniper on one roof gets finished, polished and released for free. It is still the reason most people find us.

  • April 2026 — Anagard Studios registered

Business registered in Belgrade, savings pooled, first crowdfunding campaign opened for Hellfire Squad.

  • 2027 — Playable demo

Two missions of Hellfire Squad, free on Steam and itch.io. The point at which this stops being a side project on paper.

Working with us

We are not hiring — but we do contract.

A two-person studio cannot offer a salary yet. We can offer paid contract work on specific pieces: character animation, weapon audio, additional level art. If that is what you do, send a portfolio and your rate.
